[edit] Plot Summary

Vengeance of the Sorceress is a supernatural mystery-thriller with comic relief and high melodrama in which a group of college students and their professor investigate the mysterious disappearances of people involved with the unwrapping of an ancient Egyptian mummy and the spirit of an ancient sorceress who had been his lover. It is a sequel to The Threat of the Mummy, picking up the story a few months after that movie left off.

[edit] Production Information

During the April premiere party for The Threat of the Mummy, cast members decided they'd had so much fun making it that they'd like to do a sequel. Mary Novacek, an extra in The Threat of the Mummy, agreed to write a screenplay based on a story outline by Christopher Jacobs and shooting began by May. Due to cast schedules, production ran for about a week in early May, then resumed in early June and finished in July. The finished movie premiered at the Empire Theatre in November 2002 and closed out the 2002 Forx Film Fest in December. It also played at the alternate venue at the 2003 Fargo Film Festival.
