In the town of Fargo, North Dakota, a group of acolytes worships at the altar of baseball hero Roger Maris.

The Secret Cult of Roger Maris was made for a Beginning Filmmaking class taught by Ted Larson at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Scenes for the film were shot at many local Maris attractions, including the museum at West Acres Mall, Roger Maris Drive in Lindenwood Park, and the gravesite of Maris (where the characters play cemetery baseball).
