As it appeared in the 2002 Fargo Film Festival program: "Native American, Delaney Apple, describes his incredibly challenging life while growing up on the Pine Ridge Reservation of South Dakota. Gangs, violence, death, alcohol and drugs became a way of life at a very young age until a particularly horrific incident - inflamed by alcohol, drugs and violence - stopped his young life, literally, in its tracks. He then tells how his very existence was transformed and re-created through traditonal Lakota spirituality.
