As it appeared in the 2002 Fargo Film Festival program: "On and Off the Res with Charlie Hill is a story about one Native American's dream to become a stand up comedian and the continuing obstacles faced in achieving this dream. The documentary weaves together performance clips, interviews, and musc by Floyd Westerman to create an inspiring, thought-provoking, and humorous story."
