Minnesota State University Moorhead

Minnesota State University Moorhead is a four-year, public university and a part of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) located in Moorhead, Minnesota.
The school's athletic teams are called the Dragons. The campus newspaper is The Advocate, formerly The Moorhead State Mistic (closed by the administration in 1970). The school also publishes a yearly literary magazine, Red Weather. It is primarily an undergraduate institution, although the school does confer some graduate degrees.
MSUM offers in-state tuition for all students. More than 7,500 students attend the school.

[edit] Film Studies at MSUM
The curriculum of the department housing Film Studies at MSUM has significantly changed since 2000. The speech communication major was divided into two distinct majors, Communication Studies and Film Studies. Film Studies addresses the historical, critical, and production elements of the film discipline. Currently, two faculty members, Tom Brandau, and Kyja Kristjansson-Nelson teach full-time in the area of Film Studies.
