The subzero dead of a North Dakota winter, a pickup truck, a magnifying glass, a newspaper obituary page, and an old man's thoughts wander to warmer times. This movie is an experiment in expressing the sense and mood of a life in North Dakota.

This movie was shot in about two hours on February 13, 2007 and edited the same evening, intercutting brief shots from February 2005 and July 2003. Interiors were all in Grand Forks and exteriors all within five miles of Grand Forks except one about 30 miles southwest. Music was scored with Sonicfire Pro.
