Larry Woiwode

Larry Woiwode (b. ?) is an award-winning author who has written several novels including the acclaimed Beyond the Bedroom Wall, which is set in North Dakota. His short stories have appeared in numerous publications including the Atlantic, GQ, Harpers, the New Yorker, and Paris Review, among others. In 1995 he was named poet laureate of North Dakota. In 2004 and 2005 he taught creative writing at the University of North Dakota. In spring of 2005 he organized the first National Writers Congress, which brought noted writers together and was held in various cities across North Dakota.
