The movie was shot in Moorhead, Minnesota on a Panasonic GS-300 MiniDV camera, was edited with Final Cut Pro, and includes some effects work done in After Effects. The outdoor scenes were shot in relatively few takes, due to the sub-zero temperatures. Time lapse photography was completed over a period of three weeks, with the last shot being captured two days before the final cut was due.
