Eager to track down the "butter rocks" that fuel their spaceship, a group of aliens hatches a plan to distract a Fargo Theatre employee long enough to steal a large amount of popcorn.

Date with an Alien is the companion movie to Night of the Living Theatre (2006). The movie's opening shot incorporates one of the "Herd About the Prairie" bison art sculptures.
