The Dam Short Film Festival takes place annually in Boulder City, Nevada.

About the Dam Short Film FestivalEdit

The festival was established in 2005, and exclusively screens short films in Boulder City, Nevada (just outside Las Vegas). Categories include Drama, Comedy, Student, Sci-Fi/Horror, Documentary, Animation, and Nevada Filmmaker. Events include filmmaker receptions, special guest panels, awards parties, and a mini-film market with close to 1000 short films. The festival is run by the Dam Short Film Society, which was founded in 2003 by Lee Lanier and Anita Lanier.

Festival MissionEdit

Believing that the short film is a unique and valuable art form, the Dam Short Film Society aims to seek out original, unusual, and entertaining short films from around the world and make them available to the general public via the Dam Short Film website and annual Dam Short Film Festival.
