An inept director dictates editing changes for a movie scene while an editor struggles to maintain its integrity.

Cut was shot using a Sony XDCam in 24p mode. Cut contains a film within a film titled The Fire Within. The crew visible in the sequence was the actual crew for the movie. The title came from crew suggestions. The Fire Within sequence was shot on November 18, 2007 and the rest of the movie was shot in an edit booth at Prairie Public Television.
