As it appeared in the 2002 Fargo Film Festival program: "This film chronicles the oral history of the last 100 years of the Spirit Lake Dakota Nation, through four generations of all of the director's extended relatives. Each generation represents the time of her grandfather, Henry Longie's birth in 1898 to the present."
