Aaron Luing Me

Aaron Luing

Aaron Luing (b. 1990) is a student at the University of North Dakota who studies Graphic Design and hopes to enter the film industry.

Luing was born on November 3, 1990 in Evanston, Illinois and later moved to Bagley, Minnesota, where he now resides. It was in Bagley where he met friend and fellow moviemaker Tim Holmes.

Luing has worked on independent movie productions since early 2002. He worked with Holmes on a few projects until Luing was offered an Assistant Director/Cinematographer role in Holmes' first full-length feature SFC, also known as Spies for Christ, a spy drama. Luing was unaware of the plot, or even the meaning of the name, when he accepted work on the movie. Today, while Luing watches SFC in a comedy light, due to the low quality of the movie, Tim deems the whole movie unwatchable save for Aaron's scene. Later, Aaron teamed up with Tim again, this time on the short Frybread, a movie written and directed by Aaron. Soon after, Aaron began to work under his production company, Aluminum Jacket Productions. Aaron teamed up with Tim Holmes one last time before college to direct Tire of Death 3, the third movie in a trilogy written by Tim Holmes.

Since Aaron has started attending college, he has experienced trouble in continuing his actual movie prouction. He enrolled in a Creative Movie Production class, and was able to produce his movies Chalk Walk (2008) and Aaron's Day (2008). He also wrote the script for a short called Zombies: A Love Story for the Apocalypse, but has been unable to make it due to a lack of crew. Until he can work with a full crew, he now settles with releasing small videos on YouTube (see link below).
